Feeling tired?

Do you keep giving your energy, your vitality, your resources, (inner and outer) without ‘receiving’?

Do you desperately need to recharge, but feel that life’s demands are inescapable?

The truth is there is an infinite flow of energy available to you, all you need to do is tap into it. Try these proven, powerful ways to relax & re-energize in under 5 minutes. They’re simple and super easy to do!

10 Easy Ways to Relax & Re-Energize in Under 5 Minutes

1. Bust a Move!

That’s it, put on your favourite tune on and shake that thing! Studies have shown that when you listen to your favourite music your brain releases the chemical dopamine which makes you feel great! This combined with moving your whole body gets the blood pumping, energy flowing and a genuine smile on your face. Watch how your energy soars after just one dance!

2. Breathe Baby Breathe!

How you breathe has a MASSIVE affect on whether you feel relaxed and energized, or anxious and exhausted! If you’ve listened to the training in my ‘Breathe Baby Breathe’ Program then you’ll know that breathing too fast or shallow makes you feel anxious, and breathing too slow can make you sleepy. Similarly if you breathe in more than out, you’ll have trouble ‘letting go’ (e.g. weight, relationships, emotions) and if you breathe out more than in, you lose connection with your body!

Bottom line is, a balanced, full breath is the best! Check out ‘Breathe Baby Breathe’ for more info and to download the guided breath practices you can use anywhere, anytime to instantly calm stress, transform tiredness into vibrant sexual energy, and re-activate your irresistibility factor!

3. Harness the Power of Pleasure!

Never underestimate the power of pleasure! Pleasure is essential for women’ well-being. In our fast paced, busy life pleasure is an often forgotten tonic that enhances your mood and increases your vitality. (AKA makes you feel good and gives you more energy!!)

When you feel pleasure, your body relaxes, and releases endorphins and in particular a wonderful hormone called oxytosin, which makes you feel relaxed, juicy, alive, connected and supported.

Just do anything that allows you to feel pleasure in your body! Some ideas include orgasm, breast massage, sensual self-massage, dancing, eating/drinking/smelling something delicious, even thinking erotic thoughts and then ‘feeling’ them in your body!!! The key is to use your senses to fully enjoy the pleasure, allow it permeate though your whole body.

4. Laugh!

Not just a trifle ‘Ha Ha Ha’ Give yourself permission to have a good belly laugh! Aside from the fact that it reduces stress hormones like cortisol and adrenaline, and increases endorphins ‘feel good’ chemicals, laughter  also frees tension from the body and releases all that trapped energy just waiting to get out and fuel you to live your passion!

5. Do-In!

(“Do-What???” she asks, with head cocked to one side!)

‘Do-In’ is an ancient body tapping method that activates the body’s energy meridians to wake the body up! Start from the top of your head and work your way down, tapping as you go. And if you can tap yourself with great love and appreciation …even better. Try it for yourself!

6. Body Shaking

This might look a bit whacky but this quick ‘n easy practice is a fundamental tantric practice that releases accumulated tension and ‘frees up’ latent energy from the whole body. It also increases blood circulation which oxygenates the brain and body, increases lymph circulation to detox the cells and get rid of that ‘sluggish’ feeling (Bonus = increases immune function)

All you do is, spend 5-10 minutes gently shaking the body all over. You can start with extremities like fingers, hands and up the arms. Then toes, feet, up the legs. Until whole body is gently shaking. Trust me, after 5 minutes of body shaking, stand still for a moment and notice how your whole body is ‘buzzing’ with energy! (NOTE: There is a guided audio for this in the ‘Breathe baby Breathe!’ Program)

7. Put your feet up the wall

I’m telling you…5 minutes of chillaxin’ with your feet up the wall and you’ll feel like a new woman! This is a yoga pose traditionally known as Viparati Karani. It’s one of the quickest and easiest ways to relax and re-energizing yourself. (Note to self…Also has Anti-Aging Benefits!)

It’s particularly useful for that afternoon slump, replenishes your body with increase blood and lymph flow, and calms your mind and nervous system so you are less ‘fatigued’ by daily stress!

Also, relaxes and nourishes your adrenals, keeping hormones balanced and topping up your “Energy Fuel Tank’. Finally it gives your heart a rest because it doesn’t have to pump so hard when you’re upside down!

Here’s what you do**:  Sit next to a wall with the side of your body on the wall and your knees bent into the chest. Bring the lower back onto the floor while bringing the legs up the wall. Keep the upper body supported with the elbows on the floor.  Slowly release the elbows and lower the whole back down to the floor.  If you are comfortable, stay here 5 minutes.  To come out, bring the knees into your chest and roll to your side.  You may wish to support the low back with a bolster or several folded blankets placed right at and parallel to the wall. This also increases the angle of inversion.

(CAUTION: As with any inversion Viparita Karani should be avoided when you are menstruating, if you have serious eye problems, such as glaucoma or detached retina, blood pressure issues, serious neck or back problems.)

8. Say “Yes! Yes! Yes!”

Women often have a habit of saying ‘no’ to support..and as crazy as it sounds, when we’re exhausted we tend to resist this even more!! Forget your pride, your sense of independence, or anything else that would hold you back form asking for and saying ’Yes!’ to the support you need! So next time someone offers you a shoulder massage, say “Yes!”. Next time someone offers to carry your bag for you ‘say “Yes!” Next time someone offers to watch the kids for you so you can have some ‘me’ time…for Goddess sake….say “Yes!!!”

9.0 R&R – Rest & Relaxation!

Sounds obvious enough but most women ignore the signs of tiredness and just keep ‘ploughing through” their day. But a 20 minute catnap can give you just what you need. Or even better, find a quiet place, put your headphones on and do a quick guided relaxation.

If you find it difficult to rest and relax it’s definitely time to explore the ‘underlying tensions’ that are causing that because it will be negatively impacting your success, relationships, intimacy, health and well-being, without you even knowing it! ‘Underlying tension’ is quite insidious!!

Sometimes it takes a little bit of 1:1 coaching to do that, but it’s well worth it! And having worked with women in stress management for many years now, I can tell you that the power of releasing the ‘underlying tension’ that prevents you from fully relaxing is massive! It positively impacts every area of your life.

10. Check Your H20 & Food Intake!

Both dehydration and ‘wrong’ food can exhaust you without you even realizing it. And when I say ‘wrong’ food, I mean, the food that just does not suit YOU. We’re all different after all! Also, notice how you feel as you vary the amount of water you drink in a day. Dehydration is exhausting and we often eat sugary snacks because we feel tired, but actually we are just dehydrated.  Eat lots of ‘life’ food filled with nutrients and energy feel great, what types of food to you need you feel alive with energy. Minimize sugary stuff and stimulants like caffeine because they might lift you up ….But what comes up must come down, and oftentimes you end up crashing lower than when you stated.

Also try keeping some nuts and dried fruit in your bag. (WITHOUT sulfur dioxide if possible) The natural sugar from the dried fruit mixed with the protein from the nuts will give you a ‘sustaining’ boost of energy!

So go for it! Try one today and leave a message below to tell us how you went!

Until then, live juicy and love deep!
